Leaders, Jay and Cathie, traveled to Fort Payne, AL to meet with the North Alabama Long Term Recovery team. We were welcomed and given a tour of some of the destruction. In Jackson and Dekalb counties alone, there were 500+ homes destroyed in the April tornados. Our team from Shenendehowa UMC, Burnt Hills UMC, First Schenectady UMC, and Nimmonsburg UMC of three Upper New York Conference districts will help to rebuild.

Sand Mountain Parish, Alabama Tornado Relief Oct. 23-29, 2011
